Each FBM201 / B / C / D analog input module contains eight analog input channels, each channel receiving a 2-wire, DC input from an analog sensor such as a 4 to 20 MA or 0 to 5V transmitter, or a self-powered 20 ma source. The modules perform the necessary signal conversion to combine the electrical input signal from the field sensor to the Fieldbus redundant option.

The Remote I/O communications module allows a SCANport product to look and act like a Remote I/O chassis when connected to a programmable controller. Data contained in the input/output image table is transferred between the programmable controller by the Remote I/O scanner, the same as with anyRemote I/O chassis. You control the location of data transferred by setting the rack address and starting group. You control the amount of data by setting the DIP switches on SW3. Important: Thecommunications module does not scale the data that is transferred. Consequently, all scaling of the

data must be done in the controller. Refer to the user manual for your SCANport product for details on device units. Important: The Remote I/O to SCANport conversion is asynchronous. Data sent to the adapter for transfer to the drive must be maintained until the drive has received data.DIP switches on SW3 determine how the data contained in the programmable controller I/O image table is used in the drive.
