When installed in a Fanuc 90-30 PLC, the IC693PBM200 GE Fanuc Profibus DP Master Module Communication Card serves as the main communication interface between the PLC and a PROFIBUS DP network, enabling the PLC to connect into the network and establish data exchanges with field devices, other controllers, communication platforms, and many other types of devices. Up to 125 PROFIBUS DP slave units can be controlled from a single Fanuc PLC by using this module, which has the capacity to receive 244 bytes of inputs from the network and to dispatch 244 bytes of output commands in response.
