These models all work together with the PDIA to be approved for usage in hazardous locations. When being used in hazardous environments there are specific certifications needed. Certification ULE207685 is used for non-hazardous, Class I Zone 2 Group IIC, and Class I Division 2 Groups, A, B, C, and D locations. There is a specific certification required when being used in ATEX Zone 2 Group IIC locations, the certification is UL DEMKO 12 ATEX 1114875X.
Compared to other models in the Mark VI Series the IS220PDIAH1A does not necessarily have a specific faceplate as it is an I/O pack. On the front of the device, there are seven indicators, on the right side of the pack in a group of three there are indicators for the power and two for the link, one is indicated as ENet1, and the other ENet2. Underneath these three indicators, there is an Ethernet port which is used for cabling the model to the Ethernet to allow for easy Ethernet communication.
