The DS200SLCCG1A board was developed by General Electric as a local area network (LAN) communication card. The board is housed in the Mark V series of drive and exciter boards. It can be installed in drive and exciter cabinets across the GE brand. Installing the card provides a necessary communication medium needed for drive operation. As a G1 version of the board, this card includes the circuitries needed for both DLAN and ARCNET networks.

The DS200SLCCG1AFG has a 16-position alphanumeric display located parallel to one edge. There are four posts located close to the end of this display (ST1 through ST4) that are used to protect its glass tip. These posts look like jumpers but should not be confused with the jumpers located elsewhere on the board. Jumper settings can be modified to change RS-422 DLAN drivers or to isolate the DLAN circuit. Additionally, the J19 jumper is used to connect the crystal to the processor.
The DS200SLCCG1AFG replacement LAN Communication board is only one version of many available within AX Control’s inventory. This board is designed for use with GE’s Mark V turbine control systems, designed to control and manage industrial gas and steam turbine systems. The MK V Control system can be set up as either a Simplex or TMR (triple modular redundant) system. It is important that customers know DS200SLCC boards typically do not include software located within the U6 and U7 EPROMs, as the board is shipped with these sockets empty.
