The IC693MDL240 is a 120 volt AC input module from GE Fanuc. It is for the series 90-30 Programmable Logic Controllers. This module has 16 input points that share a single common power input terminal. These 16 circuits are reactive inputs – they have a resistor and a capacitor.

When there is current travelling into an input point, there will be a reading of logic 1 in the input status table (%I). The input module is functional with a range of different input devices. For example, the user can operate it with limit switches or pushbuttons, as well as electronic proximity switches..

To operate field devices with the GE Fanuc IC693MDL240, the user must supply power. The module needs AC power as it cannot operate with direct current. On top of the module, there are LEDs.

These indicate the ON/OFF status of each respective input point. There are two horizontal rows on the LED block, each with eight green LEDs.
