The GE Fanuc IC693MDL742 is a 12/24 volt DC Positive Logic 1 Amp Electronic Short Circuit Protection (ESCP) Output module. Made to work with the Series 90-30 PLC, this ESCPP module has a total of 16 output points. These points are arranged in two individual banks of eight. There is a common power output terminal shared by the points of each group. By design, this output module has positive logic characteristics.
The common signal for each group is monitored electronically. If a short circuit occurs in the power supply, the output points in that group will turn off and the red LED will turn on. Users must be aware that the protection does not prevent individual outputs from exceeding their ratings. It will only protect the board in the event of a short-circuited load. The module has two electronic short circuit protection circuits.
