What is Germanium Ingot/Rod/Particle/Powder used for?
Germanium Metal is used in transistors before the appearance of silicon with outstanding stability. Even now, due to the decrease of voltage reduction, diode and bind gap, it’s also often applied in photoelectric detectors. Moreover, it’s applied in radiation detector of Gamma ray (semi-conductor detector). As germanium has the shortcoming of requiring liquid nitrogen, it’s also used as energy dissolution.
