Note: We can supply different size products of titanium carbide powder according to client's requirements.
Titanium carbide powder is a gray-black powder, with cubic crystal structure, high melting point and high hardness low friction characteristics and has metallic properties, good heat transfer properties and electrical conductivity. By adding to the metal alloy powder could greatly improve wear resistance, oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance and other properties. Titanium carbide is insoluble in hydrochloric acid, not soluble in boiling alkali, but can be dissolved in nitric acid and aqua regia.
Application of titanium carbide powder:
1. Nano titanium carbide is used in aerospace components: it has a melting point above 3000 °C, has good high temperature strength, and has good compatibility with tungsten, similar thermal expansion coefficient, and has a much lower density than tungsten.
2. Nano titanium carbide foam ceramics: Nano titanium carbide foam ceramics have higher strength, hardness, thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity, and heat and corrosion resistance than oxide foam ceramics;
3. Widely used in the manufacture of wear-resistant materials, cutting tools, molds, smelting metal crucibles, etc. Transparent titanium carbide ceramics are also good optical materials; abrasive and abrasive industry titanium carbide abrasives are replacing alumina, silicon carbide, boron carbide An ideal material for traditional abrasive materials such as chromium oxide;
4. Powder metallurgy field: Nano titanium carbide powder is used for powder metallurgy to produce ceramic and hard alloy parts, such as wire drawing die and carbide die. Nano titanium carbide based cemented carbide has the following characteristics:
(1) High hardness, generally up to HRA90 or above;
(2) good wear resistance and low wear rate;
(3) Good resistance to high temperature and oxidation;
(4) Good thermal conductivity and good chemical stability.
