Description
High Temperature Basalt Tape is a specialised type of high temperature insulation fabric. This tape is produced from basalt, an igneous rock with origins to molten lava. It is spun into fibres and assembled as yarns which are then expertly woven to form our Basalt Tape.
Basalt Heat Insulation Tape has excellent chemical resistance and is particularly resistant to most acids and alkalis. This heat resistant tape is commonly used for insulation and heat containment in exhaust systems in the automotive, aerospace, heavy equipment, and transportation industries.
Features
Extremely strong high temperature tape made from basalt rock.
Continuous temperature rating of 649°C, maintains integrity up to 982°C.
Excellent thermal capabilities and outstanding abrasion resistance.
Highly flexible and easy to handle. Very long lasting.
Application
Basalt Tape is widely used for pipe lagging, high temperature cloth gaskets and in the fabrication of heat resistant expansion joints and flexible insulation products. It is used in numerous industries, including…
Automotive and Transport.
Construction.
