The GE Fanuc IC600YB801 module is a Series Six Remote I/O receiver module that monitors 3 error conditions which include errors in the local parity of the data output by the CPU, errors in the daisy-chained power and continuity of I/O racks downstream from the IC600YB801 module, and errors in the chain parity of the CPU output data that is driven by an I/O transmitter module and detected by other I/O receiver modules downstream. Note that the remote driver device uses 8 input references that provide the users with information and 8 output references that are reserved for future use in different applications. The input and output references are utilized according to the selection that is made by the users with the I/O rack address switches.
The wiring information for the GE Fanuc IC600YB801 receiver module is printed on a label on the module. This label identifies the module as an AC module, DC module, or signal-level type module and the label is color-coded. The AC module has a red label, the DC module has a blue label, and the signal level module has a gray label. The IC600YB801 module has universal terminal boards with up to 16 points. The terminal boards are suitable for field wiring connections to and from user-supplied I/O devices. The detachability of the module makes it easy to prewire the field wiring to user-supplied input and output devices and it also makes it easy to replace the module in the field without interfering with the existing field wiring. The Terminal Block Quick Connect (TBQC) assembly allows for the quick connection of some 16-point or 32-point discreet modules to interposing terminal blocks. Note that when installing the IC600YB801 module, it will take about 2 hours to wire the 16-point module from a PLC to the interposing terminal blocks.
