The IC693BEM320 is an I/O link interface module which serves as an interface between a 90-30 series PLC and a proprietary Fanuc I/O Link in a Fanuc CNC or a PLC in the 90-70 series. This module is configurable as a slave only. The module allows the 90-30 series PLC to send either 32 or 64 I/O points to the I/O LINK. The Fanuc I/O link is a serial interface that allows high speed data exchange between a master and up to 16 slaves. The module must be configured as either a 32, 40, or 64 point I/O module during its installation. Configuration occurs by setting the jumper plug inside of the front cover of the module to either 32 I/O or 63 I/O. An I/O LINK Interface module can be installed in any model of Series 90-30 PLC systems, and any number of I/O LINK Interface modules can be installed in a system. However, the user must always ensure the IC693BEM320 meets the baseplate’s current limits and in addition to the additional I/O models installed in the baseplate.
