HDF Engineered Wood Flooring ADVANTAGE
The primary purpose of use an HDF core is to create Moisture Resistance. In fact, the HDF core gives Engineered Wood Flooring
the highest moisture resistance possible in a genuine wood floor. Changes in humidity and exposure to water won't expand or
contract these floors with HDF, resulting in a floor that will maintain its shape for longer. Additionally, the density of the core
results in a floor that's twice as hard as the same species of solid wood, preventing dents and bruises. Finally, HDF cores and
engineered hardwoods in general make for easy installation. Instead of nailing the solid wood flooring to a subfloor, engineered
floors with HDF cores can be installed directly over concrete and either clicked or glued into place. Since no solid wood is used in
the construction of laminate, it is comprised of a wear and photo layer, followed by the HDF core and a stabilizing melamine layer
or EVA/ IXPE/ CORK under layment.
