Description:
The Monitored Guarded Output Modules T7481/81A are designed to ensure fail-safe operation through extensive fault detection and redundant critical circuits. Each module provides sixteen guarded outputs arranged in two groups of eight, making it possible to connect two modules in parallel for fault-tolerant control of power to loads. In this configuration, either module can be removed or replaced without interrupting control, as the other module continues operating seamlessly.
The system’s processor modules send triplicated write commands over the I/O Safetybus to the Monitored Guarded Output Module. Inside the output module, this triplicated data is processed through two independent voters, which then send the voted data to the field programmable gate arrays (FPGA) for safe and accurate control.
The T7481A modules are TÜV certified for safety compliance, and they operate within a temperature range of –25 °C to 60 °C (–13 °F to 140 °F), with a storage and transport tolerance from –40 °C to 85 °C (–40 °F to 185 °F). These features make the T7481A suitable for critical applications requiring continuous, fault-tolerant operation and safe control of connected loads.
