Introduction:
Permalloys, i.e. iron-nickel alloys, have a wide range of nickel content, between 35 and 90 per cent. The most important characteristic of Permalloys is their high weak field permeability. Their saturated magnetic induction is generally between 0.6 and 1.0 T. Through the appropriate process, the magnetic properties can be effectively controlled, such as more than 100,000 initial permeability, more than one million maximum permeability, coercivity as low as two thousandths of an Oersted, rectangular coefficient close to 1 or close to zero, with face-centered cubic crystal structure of the pomol alloy has a very good plasticity, and can be processed into ultra-thin strips of 1 micrometer and a variety of use forms. Commonly used pomolic alloys are 1J50, 1J79, 1J85, etc. The saturation magnetic induction of 1J50 is 1.5 times higher than that of 1J85.
1J50 saturation magnetic induction strength than silicon steel is slightly lower, but the permeability is dozens of times higher than silicon steel, iron loss is also lower than silicon steel 2 ~ 3 times. Made of higher frequency (400 ~ 8000Hz) transformer, no-load current is small, suitable for making 100 watts of small higher frequency transformers.
1J79 has good overall performance, suitable for high frequency and low voltage transformers, leakage protection switch cores, common mode inductor cores and current transformer cores.
The initial permeability of 1J85 can reach over 100,000, which is suitable for low frequency or high frequency input/output transformers for weak signals, common mode inductors and high precision current transformers.
