1. O-nitrobenzaldehyde,
which is also known as 2-nitrobenzaldehyde.Volatile with water vapor,
benzaldehyde flavor. Soluble in ethanol, ether, benzene, slightly soluble in

intermediates in pharmaceuticals and dye area.
2. O-nitrobenzaldehyde is an organic synthesis intermediate used in the pharmaceutical industry for
the manufacture of anti-anginal medicine nitropyridine (nifedipine); its nitro group is
reduced to amino group to become anthranilamine,
which can be used to synthesize quinoline ring drugs. O-nitrobenzaldehyde is mainly used for medicine and dye
intermediates.
