PE-EVOH-PE High Barrier Recyclable Film&Pouch
Changing consumption patterns have led to the increasing use of barrier packaging in the food industry to extend the shelf life of products. Because the nylon /evoh raw material is used in coextruded flexible barrier packaging, also known as EVOH barrier film, it provides a wide range of oxygen transmittance - a longer shelf life for packaged products. In addition, this EVOH barrier film acts as an excellent barrier against moisture, gases, oxygen and aromas.
Multilayer mixed structures cannot be fully recycled or are difficult to recycle due to the use of mixed polymers in the structure. Due to the incompatibility of polar and non-polar polymers, the waste from thin films is difficult to recycle (e.g. thin films often involve the lamination of PET to a sealing substrate consisting of PE or PP, depending on the application).
Because many barriers, mechanical and functional properties are compromised, it is difficult to provide a fully PE-based structure. This results in poor shelf life of products, low packaging strength, and presents challenges in terms of storage, transportation, logistics, material handling, product stability, etc.
It becomes difficult to use an entirely PE-based construction on existing FFS machines and to use vacuum packaging processes.Their current level of use and disposal creates several environmental problems.Due to the durability of the polymers involved, large amounts of discarded plastic are accumulating debris in landfills and natural habitats around the world.
Reclaiming the film, this innovation is used to create the next generation of single-step co-extrusion barriers for form-fill seals, ready-made bags and other applications. In addition, the recyclable barrier film can be laminated with a PE-based film substrate. This lays an important foundation for environmental protection and increased value creation through sustainable materials. We have added another cutting-edge solution to our portfolio by providing recyclable barrier film solutions that not only extend the shelf life of products, but also help build a better future for society.
Recyclable polyolefin barrier films provide our next generation of recyclable films made from high-performance raw material formulations based on a single polyolefin structure (PE/EVOH/PE,PP/EVOH/PP,PP/EVOH/PE).
Recyclable single laminated (barrier) structure; Recycled films are super safe packaging, offering distinct advantages over alternative films, non-or difficult-to-recycle films, laminated or coated in a multi-step process. The recycled film is recyclable (back to the polyethylene stream), a very single material combination PE/PP/ recyclable barrier material.
The main application for recyclable film as below:
Film forms, Fill and seal (VFFS/HFFS), flow packaging, thermoforming applications. Ready-made bags for vacuum chambers and other applications.
