It is known as membrane pad or
keypad, are electrical switches with a user interface to control equipment and
machines. The top layer is typically the graphical interface, also known as a
graphic overlay, which identifies the functions being controlled using icons or
text.
When a button is pressed it makes a connection with the circuit thereby communicating with the equipment or device. When the membrane switch keyboard is released, the poles immediately separate and the switch returns to
its original open state.
