ProX provides two width option for our DT240 disc brake carbon road wheels. That is, 30mm width carbon clincher rims, and 28mm width carbon rims clincher.
The 30mm width rim series (model PAD-SL) is with 30mm outer (22mm inner) width, and features asymmetric design.
For such wide road rims, the optimized aerodynamics tire size is 700*30C. If you plan to use 30C tire, PAD-SL rim series is recommended.
The 28mm width rim series (model PRD28) is with 28mm outer (21mm inner) width, and common symmetric design.
For such wide road rims, the optimized aerodynamics tire size is 700*28C. If you plan to use 28C tire, PRD28 rim series is recommended.
To match high end DT240 hubs, high end Sapim CX-Ray spokes are used, which is one of the best spokes available in the market.
Sapim CX-Ray spokes is the best combination of light weight, strength, flexibility, and it performs best in fatigue testing.
