Quartz is a natural stone . These quartz stones are mixed with 7%
pigments and resin and compressed, much like how the Earth compresses granite,
to form a strong, dense, non-porous slab. When you're shopping for quartz
countertops, you'll soon find that you have many choices in style and color.
Because quartz countertops are man-made, this material can be manufactured in
nearly any color. You can choose from a wide range of countertop edge
treatments, from traditional rounded or cornered styles to more dramatic looks.
Quartz countertops are low-maintenance and therefore, easy to
maintain. Since the surface is non-porous and never needs to be sealed, unlike
natural stone or wood, it’s difficult to permanently stain quartz countertops.
For daily upkeep, mild dish soap and water will do the trick. With quartz, you
don’t need to worry about staining due to the non-porous nature of the surface.
It is recommended that any spills be wiped up quickly but there is little chance
that you will stain your quartz countertops.
