When a contact input is programmed to function as an Extr/Adm priority select
command a closed state represents Extr/Adm priority and an open state
represents Speed priority. This contact can either be open or closed when a
505E ‘RUN’ command is given. If the contact is open it must be closed to select
Extr/Adm priority. If the contact is closed when a trip condition is cleared, it must
be opened and re-closed to select Extr/Adm priority. The priority selected can be
viewed by pressing the “CONT” key then the Scroll down key
