The CCD camera is composed of lens + CCD image sensor + DSP +, A/D.
After nearly 30 years of development, the CCD image sensor has matured and achieved commercialization. As a visual sensor, the CCD camera device plays an extremely important role in the acquisition and processing of photoelectric image information.
The CCD image sensor is made of a high-sensitivity semiconductor material, which can convert light into electric charge (light can be recorded electronically, instead of film), and then converted into a digital signal through an A/D chip. After being compressed, it is saved by the internal flash memory of the camera, which greatly facilitates the processing and sending of images. Compared with CMOS, CCD image sensors are more cost-effective than CMOS sensors, and are superior to CMOS sensors in terms of resolution and noise control. The disadvantage is that the manufacturing process is complicated, the cost is expensive, and the power consumption is high. The power consumption of CMOS is only about 1/3 of that of ordinary CCD.
