Product Description:
All the active processing functions, such as the correction of measured values or monitoring of limit values, can be configured on the module specifically for each channel. The conditioned analog signals can be ssued to the I/0 bus via the transfer memory. The signal processing on the module is performed by the microprocessor. The program memory of the microprocessor consists of two sections. One section has a fixed configuration (EPROM), the other one is configurable (EEPROM).
The module contains standard function units and function blocks. The function units, such as the interrupt logic, perform those functions which are always required. Function blocks are software units (instructions) with perrmanent functions， such as adders， multipliers， or minimum/maximum selectors etc. These blocks are stored once in the EPROM and can be called up several times.
