Button batteries are the main device and means for evaluating and testing battery materials. In particular, lithium-ion batteries used in lithium manganate, lithium cobalt oxide, lithium iron phosphate and other cathode materials, carbon anode material, a lithium battery used in copper oxide, manganese oxide, iron disulfide and other cathode materials need to use button cell test Its capacity and magnification discharge performance.
Common button batteries are in the negative, diaphragm, positive film assembly is completed, add the electrolyte and gasket, sealed with a mold. As shown in Figure 1.
This structure is very reasonable for commercially available products, but in the laboratory for frequent testing, will cause a lot of trouble. First, it is not easy to dissociate the battery after discharge. Secondly, each test should be damaged a pair of battery shell, the higher the cost. In addition, the mold press needs to be installed in the glove box, prolonged use will cause damage to the glove box.
In order to solve the problem of material testing in the battery R&D process, our company has successfully developed the button battery test module. The battery mechanism is shown in Figure 2 .When the button battery is assembled with a cathode electrode, a separator and a anode electrode, and directly sealed in module by a spanner, and can be directly taken out from the glove box for testing the discharge performance .After the discharge, can be directly removed, all parts can be reused, easy to observe the condition of internal material after discharge.
Prove that the structure is stable and reliable, the test results are good. Can be used more than a thousand times.
