Clinical Uses:

Skin/Mucous Membranes: Creams/gels for minor dermatologic procedures.

  1. Spinal Anesthesia:

Dose: 5–20 mg (hyperbaric solution, often with dextrose).

Advantage: Long duration for lower abdominal/leg surgeries.

  1. Off-Label Uses:

Pain Relief: For severe burns or ulcers (compounded creams).

Veterinary Medicine: Local anesthesia in animals.
