The module provides the interface between a ProfiBus DP network and the C200 Control Processor. Although the PBIM cannot be redundant, it can be used in Non-redundant or redundant C200 processor configurations.

With this implementation two panel mounted Chassis Series-A power supplies are connected to the chassis through a chassis adaptor module that connects to the left side of the chassis.

Only one channel is affected at a time. If multiple channels are affected, they are individually shut down.
|
|
Any channels that do not have a short circuit condition are unaffected.
