Triplet Achromatic Lenses
Triplet lens are made from a low index center element cemented between two identical high index outer elements. In addirtion, each lens is edged down to f-numbers with reasonable aberration correction at increased fields
Hastings triplets achromatic lenses are designed to provide an infinite conjugate ratio and are useful for focusing collimated beams and for magnification.
Steinheil triplets achromatic lenses are designed to provide a finite conjugate ratio and 1:1 imaging.
