What is solar flood light?
The Morstar LED solar flood light is a wide beam light designed to illuminate an area with light and is powered by solar panels and batteries. Because floodlights can produce scattered light sources in a large area, if multiple floodlights are used in combination, they can illuminate concert stages, stadiums, sports fields, parking lots and other areas. The solar panel charges the battery during the day and discharges it at night. This enables the lamp to be completely self-sufficient and does not need to be connected to another power source. They come in a variety of sizes, functions and price points.
Advantages of LED solar flood light
Floodlights contain high-intensity lights that are used to continuously illuminate the desired area within a given time frame. Although traditional floodlights provide adequate lighting and enhanced visibility, they require professional services to install and consume a lot of electricity. Both of these are expensive and have usage costs. These shortcomings led to the invention of more efficient LED solar flood lights. The solar panel of the solar floodlight is charged by photovoltaic energy from the sun and saves the energy for later use. They are super bright and have zero operating costs. The installation can be carried out anywhere within the 45-degree angle of the sun, and does not require professional services because it does not need to be connected to a power source. The LED lights in solar floodlights consume less energy and have low maintenance costs.
Types of solar lights
There are All-in-one solar lights and split solar powered floodlights.
All-in-one solar street light (1-piece)
These floodlights put batteries, LED modules, controllers and solar panels integrated in one product. They are more commercial and easy to install offering suitability to the regular end users. They installation do not demand separate installation of the wire and solar panels. Also, they have an appealing and simple appearance.
Split solar powered floodlights (2-piece)
Currently, the market is dominated by the split-type solar floodlights. Controllers and batteries are built into the LED floodlight which is connected to a solar panel. The LED flood lights and solar panels are separate. As such, wiring is needed during installation. It makes the process complex and the outlook less appealing. Also, most of these are DIY type hence demanding some knowledge on solar panels.
