Product Description
The EasYgen provides two features:
1. Aux-excitation for the alternator
2. Continuous monitoring of the alternator terminal voltage
The D+ Terminals are intermal connected to the crank relay- contacts:
During enginc-start up the battery will be connected across internal contacts and resistors to the D+ input of the altermnator. The altermator will be excitated by the battery. Once the engine exeeds firing speed the internal switch opens and the D+ terminals will be disconnected from the alternator excitation windings. While the engine is running the D+ terminals are still connected to the casY gen which will measure the terminal voltage of the alternator. If the voltage drops below a limit the easY gen will initiate the fault "alternator charge failure". Depending on the battery system the casY gen provides terminals for 12V and for 24V battery systems. The internal resistors limit the charge current for each of the two systems.
