At this point the 505E will ramp open the HP valve to its maximum
position at the ‘HP valve Limiter Rate’ setting.
• The speed setpoint will ramp to the minimum controlling speed setting
at the ‘Rate to Min’ rate.
• When turbine speed increases and matches the ramping speed
setpoint, the 505E’s Speed PID will take control of turbine speed by
controlling turbine inlet valve HP position.
